Šalter Ensemble is an electroacoustic ensemble of improvisers compound of some of the most innovative figures in the music scene of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Switzerland. Four persons – each one being an integral part of the ensemble – developed an exclusive concept for this ephemeral group. The body of these concepts has been worked out in the course of a residency at Izlog Festival Zagreb in May 2017 and will be presented several times by the end of the year. Šalter Ensemble is a unique project on the edge of free improvisation and composition, where collective processes form the core of the music.
The ensemble plays four new pieces by Bertrand Denzler, Tomaž Grom, Roko Crnić & Robert Roža. Artistic Direction: Jonas Kocher
